The October/November issue of “Plástico Industrial” is online. Check it out on page 34 the article “Injection molding converters” invest in robotics and 3D printing”, about the new research conducted with injection molding converters showing the increased use of robotic cells on the factory floor and also of additive manufacturing (3D printing), used mainly for product development, in addition to a guide to companies that operate in this area with their specialties and factory floor structure. Read on page 20 the article “New coatings allow the functionalization of shrink films”, showing that coating shrink films has been a major challenge because there are only a few coating systems with shrinkage capacity. A new family of products expands the possibilities in this regard. Furthermore, on page 28, the article “Quality control of plastic parts by digital twin”, showing that a digital twin of the injection molding process uses all the parameters of the physical process to predict the quality of a part that will be manufactured. When trained, it also becomes capable of learning about factors that affect the process and suggesting adjustments.
