The June issue of “Plástico Industrial” is online. The special coverage “Production digitization is transforming the offer of injection machines”, on page 18, shows how each manufacturer operating in the Brazilian market is incorporating digital resources and connectivity to their machine models, and therefore making Industry 4.0 a path of no return for plastics manufacturers as well. See on page 36 the article “New means for making medical implants with plastic materials”, showing that the use of materials with high performance allows making implants tailored to the patient, making doctors break the limits of what is possible – for the benefit of patients. Read on page 43, in the special chapter “O plástico na embalagem” (plastics application in the packaging industry), the news “Application of plasma replaces barrier layer in packaging for chemical products”, about a German startup created in April of this year, which has an ambitious goal: to use plasma technology to make it easily recyclable the plastic packaging used to store sensitive chemical products, avoiding the use of multi-material packaging, whose reuse is very complex. This issue brings also the update “PET - Resins, additives, machines and peripherals”, “Injection molding machines” and “Recycled resins” buyers’ guides.
