The April issue of “Plástico Industrial” is online. The article “Determining the quality of mixing by digital image evaluation”, on page 14, shows that, normally visually inspected, the color distribution in the resin can be evaluated by a characterization method based on digital images of the compound. See on page 30 the article “Challenges for plastics in electric car propulsion”, showing that the automobile industry is already working with the new challenges imposed by the development of electric vehicles. And plastic materials play an important role, as they will meet many of the new requirements in the sector. Read on page 38, in the special chapter “O Plástico na Embalagem” (Plastics applications in the package industry), the news “Brazilian company is going to manufacture plastic bottles for vaccine filling”, about a PET packaging manufacturer that launched a line of plastic bottles developed for vaccines filling, which have the capacity to withstand temperatures of -194°C to 136°C and have properties of mechanical strength superior to that of conventional materials. This issue brings also the update “Plasma surface treatments for plastic parts” and “Heating elements” buyers’ guides, and the “Extrusion companies’ directory”.
