The August/September issue of “Plástico Industrial” is online. Check it out on page 36, the article “AI-based software suggests colors for plastics”, showing that developing color formulations for engineering plastics and simultaneously ensuring that they meet all the necessary mechanical properties and temperature resistance requirements is an art that has been delegated to software by the company Envalior. Read on page 24, the article “System detects encrustations on extrusion rolls”, about a system developed by researchers to locate the occurrence of deposits on cooling rolls, a serious problem that occurs in the extrusion of flat films, which can affect product quality and lead to production interruption. Furthermore, in the special chapter “O Plástico na Embalagem” (Plastics applications in the package industry), the news “Reusable packaging for cosmetics is project theme”, about a reusable and refillable packaging project in which the team from Cazoolo – Packaging Development Center for the Circular Economy –, from Braskem, and specialists from Sallve Cosméticos are working together through the Circular Design Sprint program.
