The April issue of “Plástico Industrial” is online. The article “How the shelf life acts on the drying requirements of PVC granules”, on page 22, shows a study that aimed to evaluate the influence of granule storage time of a rigid poly(vinyl chloride) compound on the use of dryers in the injection process. See on page 40 the article “Complex plastic medical parts welding”, a case study showing the challenge of producing in a clean room a system containing a biological chip made with semicrystalline plastic, with emphasis on the chosen welding process. Read on page 50, in the special chapter “O Plástico na Embalagem” (Plastics applications in the package industry), the news “Judicial decision suspends the ban on the use of plastic disposables”, on a decision by the São Paulo Court of Justice, which ended this week the ban on the supply of plastic cups, cutlery and plates to customers of hotels, restaurants, bars and bakeries in São Paulo city, justified by the use of disposable plastic products in the face of urgencies that were established as a result of the Covid-20 pandemic.
