Highlights

The October issue of “Plástico Industrial” is online. The article “How temperature control can assure the plastic pellets quality”, on page 16, shows how the submerged hot impact method can produce spherical and flawless resin pellets, which are fundamental to the manufacture of sophisticated products. See on page 26 the article “How plastics make floating photovoltaic plants feasible”, showing that the manufacture of floats for photovoltaic panels, usually by the processes of blow or rotomolding, opens new opportunities for plastic transformers. Read on page 44, in the special chapter “O plástico na embalagem” (plastics application in the package industry), the news “Sachet brings 'portability' to the cosmetics industry”, where a manufacturer has developed a portable packaging to serve different distribution channels: a sachet based on polypropylene (PP), to which a polyethylene cap/dispenser flip top is injected. This issue brings also the news “PET bottles – raw materials, additives and preforms” and “Resin moisture measurement equipments” buyers’ guides.
