The January issue of “RTI” is online. The special coverage “ERPs systems for ISPs”, on page 18, shows that, with the constant expansion of the subscriber base and increased competition in the broadband market, providers demand greater control over the operational aspects of their business. See on page 36 the article “Free cooling in edge data centers”, showing the advantages of free cooling in an edge data center, compared to the conventional air conditioning system, as a result of thermoenergetic simulations based on climatic conditions in a pilot project carried out in Florianópolis, SC. Furthermore, on page 46 the article “Intelligent management and monitoring of outdoor cabinets”, which presents a prototype based on sensing with IoT – Internet of Things – techniques for acquiring and managing outdoor cabinets, providing centralized management to telecommunications operators.
