The March issue of “RTI” is online. The special coverage “SD-WAN”, on page 18, shows that the technology adds a layer of intelligence to packet routing and offers a dynamic selection of paths between connectivity options, in addition to establishing application priority levels, bringing advantages such as flexibility and cost reduction. See on page 28 the article “Cloud computing: concepts and characteristics”, bringing the main concepts and models of contracting these services, which are no longer just a strategy to store information and became a tool that allows sharing and making data and applications available. Furthermore, on page 44, the article “Powered optical fiber”, showing that with copper wires and fiber optic cores providing power and data to PoE devices, “powered fiber” is an essential technology in enterprise and campus network deployment. This issue brings also the update “Outdoor cabinets” and “IPTV and OTT platforms for ISPs” buyers’ guides, and “Engineering, contractors and technical services companies” directory.
