The January issue of “Eletricidade Moderna” is online. The edition highlights the annual “Quality Award 2020 - MV”, on page 22, a survey that identifies the brands most associated with quality, by electricity professionals, of products and equipment selected from the most representative ones used in electrical installations. Here, the research is dedicated to medium voltage items, in addition to that of BT products, published in the previous edition. See on page 38 the article “The new NR 10: the news of the proposed text and suggestions for improvements”, which comments on the changes presented in the new version, contributing to improvement of the standard, points out aspects that still require clarification, offers conceptual and terminology suggestions, and concludes with an informative appendix on German standardization of work safety. Furthermore, on page 46, the article “The procedure for calculating the apparent resistivity curve of NBR 7117”, whose main objective is to suggest changes in the method proposed in NBR 7117 for the calculation of the equivalent curve of apparent resistivity, based on a set of resistivity measures from soil. This issue brings also the new “Harmonic filters”, the update “Wires, cables, connectors and devices” and “High efficiency electric motors” buyers’ guides.
