Highlights

The February issue of “Eletricidade Moderna” is online. The article “Automatic recognition in thermography images”, on page 22, describes a case study of automatic recognition and classification, by computer, of hot points detected by thermographic and optical images captured in the field. See on page 34 the article “Dali System and efficient lamps: technical and economic analysis”, reporting tests performed with the Dali - Digital Addressable Lighting Interface and new tubular fluorescent lamps to determine the viability of replacement. Furthermore, on page 44, the article “Performance of contactors subjected to voltage sags”, which compares two types of contactors used in industries in relation to the amplitude and duration of voltage sags. This issue brings also the new “Wires and cables for BT installations and PV generators”, “Insulators and polymeric terminations” and “Current & Voltage transformers (CT/VT)” buyers’ guides.
