Highlights
The April issue of Eletricidade Moderna is online. The article “Field performance of simplified single phase reclosers”, on page 20, presents the results of the large-scale application of this solution, proving the reduction of DEC and operational costs. See on page 34 the article “Design of outdoor lighting systems”, showing that the exterior lighting goes through a deep transition, driven by LED technology. Illuminance, light distribution, temperature and color reproduction can now be tailored to the requirements of each application. Furthermore, on page 42, the article “Maximum cable length of terminal circuits - Part 1”, which shows that in order to ensure that the protection devices operate within the prescribed time, it is necessary to limit the length of the terminal circuits according to their impedance and the short- circuit available. This issue also brings the new “Products for electric panelboards" and “Stationary batteries”, and the update “Prefabricated compact substations” buyers’ guides.
