The June issue of Eletricidade Moderna is online. “Electronics Fair seeks to boost the sector” is highlighted on page 36, a report on the 29th edition of FIEE (São Paulo, July 25th to 28th), which, considered an industry thermometer, will showcase new technologies and trends in the area. It presents the main aspects of the show and the novelties and highlights that will be exposed. See on page 32 the article “Continuous insulation supervision without power shutdown”, showing that the insulation resistance measurement is part of the periodic tests and can only be performed with the electrical installation de-energized. But technical standards offer alternatives. Read on page 78 the article “Analysis of the characteristics of DPSs combined classes I + II”, where it is shown that in the recent past, buildings provided with SPDA had their BT power lines protected against lightning currents by a DPS class I. However, there are today numerous versions of devices that associate class I and class II characteristics. The article examines standards and performance. This issue brings also the update “Products for electrical installations in buildings” buyers’ guide.
