The September issue of “FotoVolt” is online. The special coverage “Intersolar South America reaches a historic edition with record attendance”, on page 38, shows that the largest solar energy fair in Latin America brought together more than 600 exhibitors and 55 thousand visitors, highlighting innovations in the photovoltaic sector. See a selection of the new products, solutions and services on display. Read on page 26 the article “The potential of batteries to mitigate demand ramps”, showing that the forecast increases in load ramps, from 25 GW in 2024 to 50 GW in 2028, due to the growth of photovoltaic energy, has required greater flexibility to meet power requirements. Energy storage then emerges as a viable solution to these challenges. Furthermore, on page 30, the article “The bogeyman has disappeared”, showing that, with the finding that the start of charging the wire tariff does not make projects unfeasible, as was feared, the year 2024 shows a strong resumption of sales and thus also of financing for on-grid solar projects, a market that is also favored by the sharp drop in module prices. This issue also brings the new “Thermography service providers” directory and the update “Prefabricated substations” and “Solar tracking systems” buyers’ guides.
