Highlights

The September/October issue of “FotoVolt” is online. The article “Suggestions for revision of the ABNT NBR 16690 standard”, on page 24, analyzes the criteria for protection against shock, grounding and equipotentialization of photovoltaic plants and presents suggestions for a review of the relevant Brazilian standard. See on page 34 the article “The investment decision of families in PV and batteries”, presenting a methodology to support the decision of the ideal investment in distributed energy based on the optimal cost of supply for each case and also investigates the correlations between investment in PV systems and storage of energy. Furthermore, on page 54, the article “PV System in building positive energy: analysis of generation and consumption”, comparing the estimate of consumption and electricity generation through the PV system in the UTFPR Green Office, a sustainable building that uses strategies to reduce impacts to the environment, such as a photovoltaic system connected to the grid. This issue brings also the new “Charging stations for electrical vehicles” and “Pile driver for solar plants” buyers’ guides.
