The March/April issue of FotoVolt is online. The article “Opportunities and challenges of photovoltaic solar generation in Brazil”, on page 60, shows how experts see the future of photovoltaic segment in the face of regulatory changes, new equipment technologies and project drivers, such as green hydrogen, electric mobility and the free market, among others. The current scenario is also the subject of analysis, considering the challenges of segment. See on page 28 the article “Protection in systems with multiple-input MPPTs”, examining the protection of photovoltaic arrays against reverse current and short-circuits in series of modules in the light of the applicable technical standardization and through case studies. It also highlights the importance of paying attention to the current capacity of cables and connectors, and of strictly observing normative prescriptions. Furthermore, on page 34, the news “Here comes the Intersolar Summit Brasil Nordeste 2023”, showing that, in distributed solar generation, the Brazilian Northeast more than doubled its installed capacity in 2022 and continues to expand. In turn, the centralized plants in the region already add up to 4.67 GW and are encouraged by an ambitious green hydrogen program, among others. The Intersolar Summit will bring together 500 professionals and more than 40 specialists, in addition to presenting novelties in a diversified fair. This issue also brings the update “PV engineering and technical services companies” and “Solarimetric data certifiers” directories.
