Highlights

The November/December issue of “FotoVolt” is online. The article “Trackers: Interaction between energy, shading and agriculture”, on page 30, presents and analyzes a patented tracking system focused on agriculture (Food & Energy concept), under development since 2009, reporting the studies, both theoretical and in the field, to investigate the response of various cultures to different trackers' configurations. See on page 44 the article “Surge protection in charging stations”, showing that electric cars feeding systems have very particular characteristics and should have protective measures to them, which are presented and commented. Furthermore, on page 58, the article “Microinverters vs. string inverter – a technical and economic analysis”, a study that compares real data from microinverters systems with systems using string inverters, to determine the real advantages of either solution. This issue also brings the update “Energy storage systems”, “Electrical vehicles charging stations” and “PV Modules“ buyers’ guides.
