The May issue of FotoVolt is online. The special coverage “Intersolar Summit Brasil Nordeste 2023 boosts business and debates”, on page 30, shows that this new edition of the regional event, which brought together more than 5000 professionals and about 100 exhibitors, discussed the panorama and the future of photovoltaic energy, the legal framework of distributed generation, energy storage and green hydrogen. The article describes systems, services and solutions that were exhibition highlights. See on page 44 the article “The illusion of internal protection in photovoltaic inverters”, where the authors state that the withstand of photovoltaic system equipment to electrical surges is a theme that was “distorted” and argue that inverters with internal protection are not immune. Furthermore, on page 56, the article “A new photovoltaic panel for greenhouses and farmland”, showing that the panel described was designed to increase light transmission to crops in winter and favor the production of electricity in summer.
