The September/October issue of Hydro is online. The special coverage “AESabesp/Fenasan Congress 2024”, on page 16, provides a preview of the 35th AESabesp/Fenasan Technical Meeting 2024 - National Sanitation and Environment Fair, which will take place between October 22nd and 24th in São Paulo and will feature new features such as the Sanitation Games and the university meeting. Also check out some of the new features presented by the exhibitors. Read on page 30 the article “Locating water leaks in underground networks”, a paper that proposes an analytical model, based on vibro-acoustic geophysical techniques, for locating water leaks in underground networks. The model focuses on the analysis of information received by pairs of sensors present on the ground surface and, through statistical tools, automatically predicts the epicenter of the leak. Furthermore, on page 52, the article “Correlation between turbidity, apparent color and sludge generated”, analyzing the proportionality between the quality of raw water (turbidity and apparent color) and the amount of sludge generated in water treatment. Based on samples of coagulated water from an operating WTP, the tests can indicate more effective estimates of sludge production.
