The November/December issue of “Eletricidade Moderna” is online. The special highlight goes to “Products of the Year 2022”, on page 30, a survey that points out the best-selling brands of dozens of products for electrical installations and lighting at electrical material retailers in Brazil, as well as their evolution from 2021 to 2022. It is an important reference for the industry, for consumers and for the own retail channel. See on page 24, in the “EM Specialists” column, the article “Surge protection device technologies”, where Sergio Roberto Santos describes and comments, in an article, video and audio, the characteristics and operating principles of the different components used in the manufacture of SPDs, guiding the decision on which technology to use in each application. Furthermore, on page 42, the article “Coordination between surge protection devices – Part 2”, which addressed in the first part, published in the previous edition of EM, the effects of SPD–SPD connections and interconnections. In this second part, the author deals with the coordination between SPD and equipment.
