Highlights
The December issue of “Eletricidade Moderna” is online. The edition highlights the “2018 Electrical Products Top Sellers”, on page 18, a survey that reveals the current position of the brands of dozens of products for electrical and lighting installations pointed out by the sector's resellers as the most sold in their establishments and their evolution compared to last year's survey. See on page 44 the special coverage “Digital transformation in debate at the VDE Tec Summit 2018”, about the congress of VDE - German Association of Electrotechnology, Electronics and Information Technology, on November 13th and 14th in Berlin, where topics such as artificial intelligence, robotics and 5G technology were discussed with experts from the government, industry and academia in an event that celebrated the organization's 125 years. Furthermore, on page 46, the article “Protection against short in the secondary of transformers of MV”, showing that protection and equipotentialisation conductors must meet different design criteria and it is necessary to conceptualize correctly the function of each conductor. This issue brings also the new “LV/MV Motor Control Centers” and the update “Electrical products for explosive atmospheres” buyers’ guides.
