Highlights
The March issue of “Eletricidade Moderna” is online. The edition highlights the special coverage “The new scenario of energy trading in Brazil”, on page 38, showing that there are currently several initiatives and movements aimed at improving and expanding the energy trading and can even reach low voltage consumers. See on page 22 the article “Smart grid security: a systematic approach”, which proposes a method of software engineering to develop systems or architectures in the field of smart grids, also suitable for electric microrredes. Furthermore, on page 44, the article “Street lighting: Retrofitting with LEDs and automation - Case study”, where a project resulted in an energy saving of 469.80 MWh per year, in addition to a reduction of 96.36 kW in peak demand, proving its attractiveness. This issue brings also the update “Reclosers and sectionalizers” buyers’ guide.
