Highlights

The March/April issue of “Eletricidade Moderna” is online. The article “NBR 17018: more safety for people and assets at construction sites”, on page 28, analyzes the main measures prescribed by NBR 17018 of February 15, which brings specific requirements for electrical installations at construction sites, as they are places subject to increased electrical risks and unique external influences. See on page 42 the article “Supraharmonics: an analysis of the effects at high frequencies”, showing that electronic devices and systems, such as switching power supplies, frequency converters, drives, electric vehicle chargers and others, operate at high switching frequencies and can cause coupling interference in the power grid. Furthermore, in the “EM Specialists” column, multimedia space with the article, video and audio “Geoelectric modeling for grounding systems projects” by Paulo Edmundo Freire, on the need to adopt a geological and geophysical vision in drilling and geoelectric modeling activities for grounding system projects, and the importance of a critical view of the measured values and models obtained.
