The February issue of “RTI” is online. The special coverage “Data center construction companies”, on page 40, presents companies specialized in data center construction, the projects carried out and the precautions to be taken to ensure efficiency, security and reliability. The Brazilian data center market is expanding rapidly, driven by the use of new technologies, such as AI - Artificial Intelligence and cloud services. Read on page 18 the article “NBR ISO/IEC standards for data center design and construction”, detailing the work developed at ABNT to develop NBR ISO/IEC standards for data center design and construction. Some standards in the series have already been published and others are expected to be released in 2025, encouraging the adoption of good practices and the creation of national certification programs. Furthermore, on page 32, the article “DWDM solutions in 5G networks: the evolution towards high-capacity connectivity”, showing that, with the growing demand for ultra-high bandwidth and low latency, transport networks needed to evolve to support the requirements of new applications. DWDM plays a fundamental role in 5G infrastructure to ensure efficiency, scalability and reliability in backhaul and fronthaul.
