Highlights

The March issue of FotoVolt is online. The article “The Intersolar Summit Brasil Nordeste report will highlight products and services in the solar segment”, on page 30, shows that with a comprehensive agenda, which includes a congress and fair, the event will debate specific interests, characteristics and challenges of solar generation in the Northeast region, with national issues as a backdrop. The parallel exhibition should bring together more than 60 suppliers, who will present highlights and launches of products, systems, services and solutions aimed at the photovoltaic market. See on page 40 the article “Shock protection when fighting fires in PV systems”, showing that PV systems require shock protection measures during installation, maintenance interventions, decommissioning and, in the event of fire, firefighting. Furthermore, on page 54, the article “Influence of boundary conditions on module-inverter compatibility”, demonstrating that, for the appropriate allocation of modules by MPPT, it is not convenient to look only at the module and inverter data sheets. It is also necessary to consider the relevant temperature coefficients, soil albedo and over-irradiance factors, which depend on the location of the project. This issue also brings the new “Software for on-grid PV systems” buyers’ guide.
