The October /November/December issue of “Hydro” is online. The special coverage “Water Loss Reduction”, on page 12, shows what companies are doing to combat pipe leaks, water meter reading errors, theft and fraud. In 2017, the waste in water distribution was 38.3%, which would supply 30% of the Brazilian population for a year. See on page 20 the article “Flowmeters: understanding accuracy”, showing that when choosing and comparing the various models of existing instruments, you need to understand and evaluate accuracy. Furthermore, on page 40, the article “AOPs - Advanced Oxidation Processes”, this shows that AOPs have been studied due to their potential as an alternative or complement to conventional wastewater treatment processes, since the generated hydroxyl radicals are highly reactive and poorly selective.
