The April issue of FotoVolt is online. Read on page 34 the article “Execution of electrical connections in PV systems”, a professional guidance for execution of connections. Incorrect installation of cables in PV systems using inadequate tools, such as universal pliers, not only involves the risk of financial losses due to poor equipment performance, but also a high risk of fire. Furthermore, on page 38, the article “Electric vehicles for grid support during faults”, examining an electric vehicles fleet supplying power to the microgrid when it operates in islanded mode and faults occur. The results indicate that vehicle-to-grid support in these cases helps maintain frequency within operational limits and prevents disconnection of sensitive loads, inverters and other microgrid equipment.
