The March/April issue of FotoVolt is online. The article “The balance between the expansion of solar PV and low voltage tariffs”, on page 24, analyzes alternatives for a fair system for adopters and non-adopters of photovoltaic systems in Portugal, without deterring the distributed generation expansion. See on page 34 the article “Protection against lightning and outbreaks of PV generators in agribusiness”, showing that pilot projects have demonstrated the economic benefits of simultaneous use of ground: for agriculture or livestock, and for energy generation. However, these facilities have specific requirements for protection against lightning. Furthermore, on page 50, the article “Shared battery system for residential area”, analyzing the benefits of common storage, compared to smaller battery systems, for three apartment blocks interconnected by a private residential network. The objective: to increase self-consumption of the photovoltaic energy produced. This issue brings also the update “Structures for PV panels mounting” and “Transformers” buyers’ guides.
