Highlights

The June issue of FotoVolt is online. The article “Optimal sizing and shipping of battery storage”, on page 16, shows a method for ideally dimensioning and scheduling dispatch in order to maximize the economic benefits of storage, whose applications include not only the safety of supplying loads but also the reduction of energy and demand costs. See on page 37 the article “Concept almost zero energy building using a PV system”, reporting a study that proposes the energy assessment of a real building using the concept “almost zero energy building” through a PV system. The solution proved to be efficient in reducing the use of energy supplied by the distributor. Furthermore, on page 52, the article “Solar carport: a technical-economic analysis”, presenting an analysis of a real parking covered with PV modules in order to recharge batteries. Parking lots appear as an opportunity for integration between solar photovoltaic energy and electric vehicles, in the context of on grid generation. This issue brings also the update “PV mounting structures”, “String boxes” and “Sun trackers” buyers’ guides.
